[Ansteorra-archery] Marshal Sash Idea

I think a yellow sash with black borders resembles too closely the Star of Merit. What I meant by striped was horizontal stripes, like the marshal staffs used by the fighters. This can be achieved by getting a cut of plain yellow fabric the desired sash length and painting black stripes from selvage to selvage. Acrylic paint is cheap and can be heat set with an iron. You flip the fabric over and iron the "wrong" side. I have done this with t-shirts and have had no issues with color leakage.

I like the idea of the arrow head to mark the MIC. Yes, a clipboard is usually the giveaway for the MIC but sometimes they take breaks to eat and/or sit and hand the clipboard to an assisting marshal.
I would like to note that I did not intend for this sash idea to be mandatory. I wanted it to be an optional thing to make it easier for archers and marshals to identify marshals. At smaller local events this is not much of an issue but at larger events we see more unfamiliar faces. I am in favor of everyone making a few of their own, some to keep and some to distribute if they wish. I myself would like to keep a few extra with me to lend to assisting marshals on ranges I'm running. I also love the idea of handing new marshals a sash when they get authorized.

As for keeping all the sashes matching, I can come up with some general specifications. The sash should be between 2.5 inches and 4 inches in width striped horizontally in black and yellow. The bands of black and yellow should be of equal width approximately between 2 and 3 inches. The MIC black arrow head can be placed in a large yellow patch, approximately 8 inches or so in length, on the front side of the sash. The sash shall be worn over a shoulder. I don't think it is important to specify which shoulder.
Since I am the one who came up with this idea, I can put together a how-to for everyone.

One last thing, do we want something to mark marshals in training? My silly idea was an arrow-through-the-head headband. This can also be something left up to the MIC.

I would like to see what it would take to get a bunch of them made so that
they all matched. I am afraid that if we have everyone making their own
they will be so different that it will be hard to tell what they are.
