Ansteorran Chirurgeons,

I have changed the Chirurgeon web pages in a number of ways that will affect

you (hopefully positively).

1. Since several Kingdoms are now using this and it will become the
Society Chirurgeon web system, the heading is changed from
       "Ansteorran Chirurgeonate" to "Society Chirurgeonate".
2. It no longer uses frames. The tab menu at the top and the heading
are part of each page instead of a frame. This means you don't have
to worry about scrolling down when the window is too small. But
you may have to scroll up to get to the menu when you are working
       lower in the page.
3. When you enter an area that requires an ID and password, the
system will automatically move into https mode. That means
everything you enter (including your login) will be transmitted to
the web site in an encrypted form and all data sent to you by
the web site will also be encrypted. This is better protection
for you and for our patient data. You may be asked to accept
a certificate for ansteorra.org. Please either say OK and go on
or View Certificate and Install. This says you accept that the
certificate used to encrypt the data really belongs to the
       web server you are using.
4. All new passwords will have to meet several new restrictions.
       a. Passwords must be at least 7 characters long.
       b. They must contain at least one capital letter.
       c. They must contain at least one lower case letter.
       d. They must contain at least one digit.
       e. They may not contain the ID as a substring.
       f. They may not be be same as the last password.
5. Admins can set your ID to require a new password. If they do this,
when you enter the "Online" tab and after you enter your ID/password
you will be transferred to the Chirurgeon update page with your
information
displayed. A popup will display telling you to modify your password.
You will not be able to do anything else until you do this. The
system will then prompt you for the new password and you will
be sent to the Online main page. This feature will be set when
you forget your password or for admin reasons.
6. A feature that is not really brand new is the protection of patient
personal data. Only the treating Chirurgeon, the CIC, and admins
above them can see the patient's personal data.Treatment data is
available to anyone who has access to the event. Be careful not to
give any personal information in your treatment data. Refer to the
person as "the patient" or "Pt" not as "Bob".

If you find anything that does not work as you would expect or have
suggestions, please contact me via email at rjt at acm.org.

In service,
Caelin on Andrede, MC
