That's a great Guedra FAQ!
I took a weekend workshop with Morocco (the dancer in NYC) several years ago. She performed a Guedra to open the Saturday night performance. On Sunday, she gave a lecture on the Guedra, including talking about the Tuareg and specific hand gestures used during the Guedra. I have some good notes and stick-dancer sketches that I made from the lecture.
I've also participated in a Guedra at Pennsic that was very fun.
