Anybody who has comments on the proposed charter and bylaws, please post to
this list so we can discuss them. (Please see the archives for the full
text.)

About nine people attended Saturday, which was less than I hoped but more
than I feared.

Comments from the Conclave on Saturday:

1. Change title of guild head from "al-Basir" to "Vizier". Determine if
there is a feminine form of "vizier". "Viziera?"
2. The purpose of sections 1.2 and 1.3 of the by-laws is to give the dancers
of the guild a sense of togetherness, and to promote awards in Middle
Eastern dance. We could accomplish the same goals through other means. For
example, we could come up with some sort of token, badge or favor that we
could wear. Does anyone have other ideas?
