[Ansteorra-missile] Safety of Longbows - New Combat Archery Ruling

The issue is NOT why anyone felt the need to justified switching from
one weapon or another? The issue to blame the equipment for the
inability of the person to properly used it is extremely misleading,
this is what I focus upon.

I had already heard that the majority of Arkham was switching from bows
to crossbows by the time I got Gulf Wars this year. The impact on me
when I heard was a shrug of my shoulders - do not really care what the
reason was nor did I seek out anyone to get an answer either.

But to express and directly implied that either a bow was not as safe
and that the crossbow was safer as an excuse or reason to switch was too
much to accept.

Then follow that up with a statement that he and others wanted to
acquire/use the maximum legal poundage crossbow and the hardest legal
blunts possible to ensure that "those fighters" will start taking their
arrow hits. That revealed the "true" reason for the switch!

Now I come about the questioning about how often you practice with your
bow. Go back and reread that section - I was not questioning how often
you practice with your bow. I was question how often you put on armor
and fought with your bow at either a War practice and/or War events
beside Gulf Wars.

Now a War practice is as close as anyone can get to having an actually
war event. It takes place on a field between two live hosts in full
armor with a full range of weapons, just like a War event.

So, now you "KNOW HOW IT FEELS" to have someone question you ability to
put on armor, use one of your weapons, in this case the bow and go out
and fight. This is the same type of question and/comment that you made
to a LADY FIGHTER that I know, about her not getting into armor and
fighting!
