Yeah, what he said.

Yes Greylond if if your only participant authorization is Combat
Archery you can participate as a Full Contact Participant. That means
that they have to hit you to kill you. Unfortunately since you do not
have any other authorizations you basically just gotta take the blow if
ya cant get out of the way. You can NOT attempt to block with your bow
or crossbow and you aren't authorized for any other weapon that you
might be able to block with.

A big advantage of being Full Contact is that you can work more closely
into the lines and opponents can get within 10 feet of you and you are
still alive. If you are non-contact then anytime an opponent is within
10 ft you are dead. Also as Iaen said if you see them coming and can
outrun them or run over behind some heavy fighter who can protect you
then you can stay alive.

For those of you are Full Contact participants remember that this means
you can be hit, likely at some point will be hit, and you can be hit as
stoutly as they would hit any other fighter on the field. However, when
the opponent gives you a courtesy tap rather than a right stout blow
dont yell "light" and run away from him. Call the blow and march off
the field or to res point. Otherwise they are going to start cleaning
the clocks of you and every other archer they can lay a stick on.

See You at War!
