Well, as Lord Iaen put it so well "honor".  You have to trust that ANY
participant on the field has the correct authorizations and was properly
inspected by the marshals regardless of what weapons form they are employing
on the field.  This is a game of honor, if you can't play by those rules
then you shouldn't be playing whether archer, heavy weapons, rapier or
whatever your endeavors are within the SCA.
