Hello and greetings,
The following is my opinon in regards to the Princess Blade and the
Cadets.
To start with as a Don I look at a cadet as an individual who is trying to
gain the knowledge and skills to one day become a Don. I also feel it is an
honor and privilage granted to the rapier community and the Order of the
Whitee Scarf to stand behind the Queen when the Queens Champion is need of a
break during court. I say this because not all kingdoms have rapier combat
and I am not sure if all kingdoms hold the Queens Champions tourney as a
rapier event. My feelings towards the Cadets being asked by Her Highness to
construct a blade and to hold it in protection of her is great and
wounderful thing. I feel that it helps to show not just toward our kingdom
but unto the known world that rapier and chivalric combat each in their own
way can add so much more to the dream and the game. The creation of this
blade and THE DUTIES and PRIVLIGES with it has allowed the cadets to feel
and understand the pride and honor that the Dons feel for being a Companion
to the Order of the White Scarf in this knigdom. So in close as you might
tell by MY opinion I am in favor of this.

Don Donovan Fitzpatrick
