[Ansteorra-rapier] Question about Triplette's R9 rapier

I ordered one of the hilts for my son.  Its not legal and after sparring with
him in the yard I can see why.  The tip got caught twice and actually was
untipped the second time.  We put a shlager blade on it and got another hilt
for the epee.  I was told leather inserts would make it legal though.
