[Ansteorra-rapier] gauntlets and rapier

protect the hand during blade grabbing techniques.  I presume that main on
either side of the hand would have similar properties and afford protection
against cuts to whatever it covered.

Also,

I assume you are talkign about a glove with only chain on the back side and
not necessarily a fine maille across the palm (like a butchers glove)in
blade grabbing, correct?
