[Ansteorra-rapier] Opinions on mail gauntlet?

I don't know how many of us have one (I do),
resolving the rules by removing this section
would probably be best. 
Conflict with SCA guidelines will continue to
hamper the use and understanding. Possibly
including it as an alternative, with the comment
that it need be considered a "special case" would
also be a solution.
