I personally think either way would be great for me, but it would be nice to have hard copies at events and such available for those who do not have electronic access.

I agree with you on the documentation/copyright/credit issue.  I used to be chronicler for my group (more times than I like to remember <grin>) and it is definitely much easier to get that stuff out of the way as early as possible.
