True true. Many times, having served as entourage the Crown gets tooo much
(grin).

Textile people can find something to do. You know THey could make them for
other artisans to give as largesse. Laurels always have problems at Arts
and Science Competitions giving small tokens to encourage artisans. I bet
there are Laurels who would love having other artisans give them tokens to
hand out or the person could hand them out themselves.

Hmmmm, hey Laurels on the list. What would you think about having people
do small tokens and when you give them remember to let the recipient know
who made the item? Like a small note in the pouch that says - Kilroy made
this to give to you.

People don't have to be peers to give small gifts.

DISCLAIMER: OLD TIMER"S STORY:

When I first found the SCA 2000 years ago - I was excited about it because
one of the first things I was shown was a scroll a gentleman was working on
as a thank you present. He wasn't a noble or a peer (we didn't have those
back them) He thought the person was just cool. I was totally jazzed by
the idea that someone was making an elaborate gift to give to someone just
because......... It was a beautiful scroll.
Even now one of my favorite presents was a pendant someone gave me because
I said something in passing that had a profound effect on them looking at
the SCA in a different way and wanted to thank me for it.

Anyway, just a thought. Don't drop the topic Morgan! I like the ideas
and I have tons of stuff to make bags out of I'm just lazy. If I knew
others were doing it then I would no doubt do more!

Regards,

Clare
