"THE BARD CAME BACK"
A FILK FROM FLYING FISHMAN'S "THE CAT CAME BACK"

Olde Ansteorra had troubles of her own.
She had a pesky Bard that wouldn't leaver Her alone.
She tried and She tried to to send the bard away.
She gave him to a man going far far away.

Chours:

But the Bard came back the very next day
Yes the bard came back, they thought he was a gonner
But the bard came back he couldn't just stay away

Now the man around the corner swore he'd shoot the bard on site
He loaded up his crossbow with a bolt of dolomite
He waited and he waited for the Bard to come around
97 pieces of the man was all they found

Chorus

They took the bard to where the meat was ground
They dropped him in the hopper when the butcher wasn't 'round
The bard disappeared with a blood curdling shriek (sound affect)
The towne's hamburger tasted funny for a week

They gave him to a man going way out East.
They said for him to take the bard to a mean beast
The wagon hit a rut and was permanently curtailed
Not a soul alive was left to tell the tale

The black plague came just the other day
The inquistion came the very same way
Merides went, Trimeris went, then Ansteorra
The entire Known World was left without a chance to pray
