thanks. I'll look into this. This is the kind of stuff I'd also like to
see on the list. If anybody else has good ideas for source material. List
Like here's a good one for those wanting to document bardic pieces. F.J.
Childs ballads. This is a series of 6 books that list just about every
period English and Scottish ballad there is. Complete with several
possible versions and information. Citing it's number and using it for
documentation is magnificent. All I know is that I got a 10 out of 10 at
kingdom a&s for my documentation. Of course mine was a 12th century Latin
carol, but I found the oxford hymnal index number. I expect that the
edition that came out in the early 1900's is a good one to check. I.E. if
you want to document period pieces, this kind of documentation is great.
Now if I can just figure out how to document embroidery, my life shall be
complete. No matter everything is possible if you try.
I wouldn't try to buy these unless you get lucky. If you do, don't buy it,
but let me drive to where it is and buy it(pant pant). I haven't seen the
child ballads for less than $300 and that was an ex library edition.
However the san Antonio public library has it. True restraint is resisting
the urge to check it out and "lose" it. Can't say I wasn't tempted, but
I'm a little too honest for that kind of stuff.
Anyway, see ya later
