[Bards] New Question

I mostly perform stories and songs; I'm not too big on poems. I've been
singing in church since I was 5 years old, so I just about can't imagine
life without singing. I also used to tell my babysitters stories when I
was little, which they actually loved to hear! I discovered the bardic
arts 4 months after I joined
the SCA, and although it took some coaxing on the part of several people
to get me up on the stage that first time (I thought it would be extremely
different from all the other types of performance I'd done), it would take
a lot to keep me from one now.
I don't do very many pieces that I hear other people perform, partly
because I feel it might be overkill and partly because I've heard enough
excellent pieces from non-SCA sources, that I can use. I've written a
couple of original pieces, and plan to do more in the future. I love
pieces that either mesmerize the audience, or make them fall over laughing
(I am very much a ham, and all my friends know it). Although I have an
Italian persona, a lot of the pieces I started out performing were Irish,
which I think is funny.
Bardic is not so much something my persona would have done, as something
I've done my whole life, and is a huge part of me. It's one of my favorite
things about the SCA.
