Classes you'd like to see (and who might teach them)
  Documentation - written (Pendaren)
  Documentation - verbal (Ihon)
Where is all this stuff written (sources)?
  Period instruments - (Avatar)
Writing songs in a period style
How to host a bardic circle
How to get an audience to join you in singing
  voice coaching

Panel discussions you'd like to attend (and who would be good participants)
Who are the new bards. Who are the old bards. Who cares?
Just how bad can it be to lose?
Just how much did I get for winning?
The difference between a really good filk and the rest that are mediocre.
What is a bard (other than that hairy guy over there who's always preaching gloom)?
  Fear of failure.
  When do you know stuff?
Would you attend and/or teach (if available to do so)
  Hell yeah!
and what factors might encourage your attendance?
More beer! Centrally located. More beer!
Should it be attached to some other event or something all its own?
  Solo, baby! All the way!!!!!
Would you be willing to contribute original pieces to a book to be sold or given at the event?
Yes. Go to bards.ansteorra.org, look at my copy provisions. I get a copy!
Other issues I haven't thought of
Class tracks. length of classes. Having enough room for it all. A bardic circle to end the night out (and a place where we don't have to be out before midnight). Food. No competitions (unless you're running a class to show how to run a competition). And some hellaciously genius individual who can schedule this so that at least half of the people are not pulling their hair screaming, "I can't make it to [choose your teacher's] class and this class at the same time!"

In service to the dream with a song in my heart, I am
HL Gerald of Leesville
Ravenskald of Ravensfort

Since our previous hot topic has died down a bit, I'd like to start up a new one that might not be quite so controversial. It is my hope to organize a bardic collegium for the late spring or summer of this year, either hosted by Steppes or attached to an existing event. If hosted by Steppes, it would technically be a local or regional event given the kingdom limitations on the number of kingdom-level events hosted by each group, but I would love to see it grow and draw bards from thoughout the kingdom. This is in the absolute beginning stages of preparation and so can be shaped to fit the needs of the participants. I'd like to get input on the following subjects:

Any takers?
