To all those bards who joined voice at my pavilion, you have not only my
thanks but also, judging by the comments I received, the gratitude of those
on the field. It made for a most enjoyable morning.

To all who worked on Stand Brother Stand, you also have my thanks. Alas, an
affair of state cut short out effort, but our effort was not wasted. We may
have another opportunity at Gulf Wars.

A few years ago, my good lady and I had the joy of attending Coronation at
Caerfilly Castle in Drachenwald. During their festivities, the entire
assemblage ( or so it seemed to us) joined in one of their anthems (to the
tune of Men of Harlech). It was incredibly moving and uplifting. It has
been since that time, a hope of mine that the populace of Ansteorra might
unite in singing one of our anthems. I believe Stand Brother Stand to be a
worthy candidate. Permit me to add a special thank you to Mistress Rhiannon
for her efforts in teaching this song and preparing song sheets, and to
Mistress Saundra of Loch Raeburn, HL Mea Passavanti and HL Alden Drake for
joining in leading it. Please continue to work on this piece and to teach
it to any who will learn.

Ihon Vinson macFergus, OL
Premier Bard of Ansteorra
Deputy MoAS for Bardic and Performance
