  for it was just his foolish pride
  that lingered in the way
   
  for he has sat in luxury's place

  all upon his "friends"

  smiled when honor surely lacked
  placed his duty in a sack
  and threw it all away
   
  but honor's voice has rose again
  to call you Brother, Sister, Friend
  to give what help that I can lend
  and stand against their fire
