Actually, milady, I first encountered it under the title "The Queen's
Champion Retires" in my roommate's English Lit textbook.
It appears to have had no title when first composed, which is consistent
with its purpose as 'occasional verse'--poetry composed for a specific
occasion. Many of the texts I consulted simply referred to it by the first
line, as is common with untitled poems.
Did Dowland give it that title when he wrote the music?

Pity about your brother and his friend Rosencrantz. But that's what happens
when you work for crazy Danes. ;-)
