Good Gentles all,
I am posting this here. It was on the Medieval Encampments Yahoo group, but I hope it's all right to post here as well. There has been a theft of whopping proportions in Memphis, and my heart goes out to these folks (and my blood boils). No knowing how far some of this stuff might travel. Just keep your eyes peeled for anything that may be 'for sale, cheap.'(I'm thinking primarily of the SCA stuff; the mundane things will be long gone, no doubt.)
Thank you.

My friends,
Please excuse the cross posting of this, but I wanted to get the word
out to as many people as possible as quickly as possible.
Sometime today some subhuman scuds stole Turlaugh's (Gerald Sweeney) SCA
trailer. This was an 8x16 double axle trailer that had all of his Gulf
War's camping equipment, plus the period pavilions of THL Lucca & THL
Caitriona Campbell and THL Gresch de'Turse & THL Chiere of Ravenglass
(that is total of 3 period pavilions).
In addition to the pavilions the following items were stolen:
4 wooden camp beds
2 large kerosene heaters,
a huge gas grill
10x20 garage style pavilion/tent
4 propane bottles
wooden, period "throne" type chair
approximately 10 folding chairs
5 coolers

There was some other gear that, frankly, I can't remember right now. In
addition to the SCA gear they stole a brand news Craftsmen push mower,
and then loaded up his riding lawnmower as well.

The mowers, propane bottles, grill, etc. can probably be hawked, pawned,
or sold just about anywhere, but I can't imagine there is much of a
market for stolen canvas pavilions or wooden camp beds, so if anyone
comes across anyone wanting to sell such items real cheap, please
contact me. I can be reached by email, or by cell phone at 901.270.0927.

Yours In Service,
Cormac the Bald (and tonight Bloody Angry)
