Have been making pesto from the plentiful fresh basil leaves. Frozen "by the 
teaspoon" for use at any time during the winter.
Summer so hot and dry that a large rosemary bush has browned and died, about 
a third of that total plant.
Prior to that, sent fresh herbs home with various friends who visited.

While I have not obtained a hard copy yet, have seen on-line a news media 
reporter's "Cat-5" blog which describes SCA in Rogers Park;
