Greetings Bordermarch,

Glory, Glory, Glory!
I can finally post again from work; I have so much to talk about.

First I would like to announce that we are changing the A&S Day gathering at our house from June 8th
to June 22. We do this for purely selfish reasons.
If there are any objections to this date change please contact us and we will give your objections all the
consideration we think they are worth.

We are hoping to con our past Archery Champion, Eric Greyfox, into joining us as we ignite the forge and
beat on some hot metal.
If you smell some burning plastic during the day fear not!
It seems that the smallish brush fire I was diligently attending to the other day got a little out of control.
Due to my heroic physical speed, strength and the Grace of God, I extinguished the roaring inferno before
it leveled the neighborhood!
When the smoked finally cleared, I spied a blue lump of melted plastic in the middle of the smoldering
pine straw; it was once a barrel that contained some of my precious blacksmithing coal!
The coal survived undamaged, but some of it has some blue plastic melted into it.

Brewing will be running rampant during the day, tasting the stuff is optional.
A medieval feast will be cooked up during the day and served that evening.
A few Bordermarchers expressed a burning desire to bring me gifts, but I put a stop to it.

Singing, dancing, drumming, or just waving your hands around while you squat up and then squat down, acting like you know what you're doing is highly encouraged.

Fighting of any kind is also encouraged.

Archery will be happening if someone brings their gear. I do have a nice target that we can use.

If we had a trebuchet large enough we would toss some sheep's bladders stuffed with stuff into the neighbors
yard, but we do not have a trebuchet or any sheep's bladders, although I do have a lot of stuff.

If there is time we will also be doing some metal casting, probably bronze.
In the dark hours of the evening we will light a big fire in the fire pit and celebrate something.

I will pen a letter to Bono of U2 and ask him to join us for the day. I do not know him, but I like his music.

All of mankind is invited to join us for this gathering.

HE Santiago
