The overwhelming argument against principality status for the
Central Region was the lack of any regional "identity", or
any substantial number of people who felt any connection between
themselves and the region.

The idea of a name and armory is intended as a tool to begin
to change this circumstance. No one expects people to say,
"Oh! We have a name and arms now, so I guess it's OK to become
a principality". What we do hope is that a little symbolism
will help people feel that a regional identity is something
that can exist, and that they might want to be part of it.

As a fighter, I can tell you that the Central Region is
increasingly being asked to function cohesively; witness
the appointment of a second Regional Warlord (Sir Mahadi),
and the development of the battle plans for the Gulf War
based on Regional units. I believe that some symbols (and
I know I needn't lecture you on the power of symbolism)
would be invaluable in doing this. As Llewelyn said, it'd
be good for people to have a name and a picture to rally
'round.
