CR - UH Fighter Group

Greetings all!

I should have known my post would cause some active postings.
Troy (one of the signers) an I met at UH this evening to go over
everything, including Ihon first post, and to look at possible locations

We have definitely made some changes to the Constitution, in an attempt
to remove the affiliation part. My goal in all of this is _not_ to
re-activate the College. Should any wish to do so, they have my
blessings, but not currently my signature. To this end, we will maintain
this as completely separate from the College of Twr Cath, and will not
imply that this group may become Twr Cath in some undetermined furture.
However, to assess our association with the SCA, we are expecting to word
the affiliation section as such.."This organization has no national
affiliation, but maintains a cooperative relationship with the Baronies
of Stargate, Loch Soilleir, and Ravensfort, and the Kingdom of Ansteorra,
chapters of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. a national
non-profit organization."

The group will now be called the Medieval Recreation Group.

As for locations for practice...we looked over the old practice sight,
and decided against it on the basis of no close restrooms, and no near
access to inside classrooms/meeting areas. We also examined a number of
other locations, both during daylight, and after dark. We found a site
fairly well lit, good parking, and a nearby building. As soon as we
establish the feasibility of reserving rooms in the building (not to
mention the name of the building), I will post directions, and hopefully
a map.

As for Adela's question with regards to turn-around time for the
organization. Troy & I just learned today that once all the paperwork is
in we will be required to wait until we are notified that the
organization has been accepted.
The paperwork is anticipated to be in on Friday. Given university
systems, we will not receive notification in time to host fighter
practice at UH on Tuesday, May 24th.

My apologies for the bad news,

Meliora
