CR - Gulf Wars Preparations

This is a great site. Does anyone have suggestions to add for our
new-to-Gulf-Wars folks?

Bring extra drinking water and lip balm. Two years ago, the humidity was a
lot lower than we are used to, here in Stargate (Houston), and everyone
needed more water. (Last year did NOT count!)

Work gloves and rakes. Wheelbarrow or cart. Since we are never sure of the
area that we will be camping in, assume that it will need to be cleaned up a
bit before you set up your tent. Also your campsite may be a ways away from
the fighting field or shopping.

If you need extra supplies at the last minute, there is a SuperWalmart at
exit 4 on I-10 just four miles past the Louisiana state line. (please
correct me if I am wrong on this)

Bring chairs.

That's all I can think of at the moment. --Caitlin

Greetings,

For all those going to Gulf Wars IX (March 14-19), or thinking about going,
here's a great resource for general information to help you get ready
(armor, archery, camping, site info, etc) :

http://www.angelfire.com/tx/adod/index.html

And here's the official Gulf Wars page:

http://gulfwars.org/

If anyone from the Coastal region needs help getting there, or getting
ready, contact me and I'll try and help you,

Death to Trimaris (and party with them afterward),
