[DFT] Guardian of the Tor event

My $.02....

If we "do-over", the July date would be better due to less crowded schedule. Lots of folks may want to attend Kng's College in Brad Leah, which is fairly close to DFT, on June 18-20. If we wait til next year, the champions just get to wear their cool regalia another year (darn!). Have you asked Their Excellencies?

As far as Yule Revel, I vote for letting them cater and save the $$. I think it would put us way out of budget and run the risk of not making a profit if we have to pay $800 for site alone and then the cost of preparing a feast (Anywhere from $400-700). And I can consult if needed for recommended period recipes that are easy to do. Maybe we can offer to maybe give a little more $$ for site and get more food. That was a complaint I heard last year--not enough was served.

Just my input...

Subject: [DFT] Guardian of the Tor event

Greetings everyone out there. At the last meeting we discussed trying to redo Guardian of the Tor or lovingly know as Guardian of the flood. There were several propositions <or prostitution if you read the Loch-Ruadh list>

1 The easiest, not have one this year and do it next year

2 Have on in June 18-20 at Broken O

3 Have on in July 23-25 at Broken O

4 Have a joint fighter practice and pick the champs there

OK now there are the 4 options I need input!!!!!!!! It is easy pick 1-4 and we have only 1 volunteer for autocrat. So this is going to be an easy event to put on every thing is done all you need to do is call for the Port o Jons.

BTW if no one gives me input by the 14th that's Friday I'm saying no event.

We also need someone to volunteer for Yule autocrat!!!! That's coming up VERY SOON!!!! Yule is scheduled for Dec 5th and the site is already reserved at the Hall at the Agave. There are 2 choices there is if they cater it the site costs $400 plus the meals <you can pick the recipes> or we can rent the kitchen and pay $800 plus, food, tea, and we clean it up, yadda yadda. If they cater it they clean up and the food is professionally prepared. We need input on that too. So please respond and tell me your vote!!!
