ES - FW: Barrier

How about putting the arms of past Defenders as a series, and adding
each year?  Not only very period practice (e.g. Garter Chapel in Windsor
Castle), but in the long run that kind of thing is useful both with
baronial feeling and with newcomers.   This could easily mean more to
potential Defenders than a basket of goodies (sorry Arabella).

I realize these things can take a surprising amount of work to keep up,
but I thought the idea was worth considering. 

Rapier/Archers on the other side?  mixed in?  Any other suggestions for
places to honor our Defenders?
