ES - a site is booked

I'm afraid that I have to agree, sorry. But, Sindara is right. I had a very
tough time going down the stairs because I suffer from having no depth
perception (I'm blind in one eye). I fell down some stairs when I was a
little girl and nearly broke my back. Needless, to say, I'm scared of going
down stairs and I manage steps very slowly.

Also, what of those that are on crutches or in wheelchairs? I'm afraid that
this site might scare off those of us that are handicapped. I will attend
our event no matter where it is and try my best to manage those stairs.

Maria

While I hate to put a damper on things, I feel I need to bring this up. I
feel really uncomfortable doing this too because I am so used to Elfsea
events not having this problem. But here goes.

The Texas Pythian home is a lovely site, but it is not handicapped
accessible. As a result of walking the 2 flights of stairs just a couple
of times I am dealing with an arthritis flare. Those of us who have
difficulty walking stairs can only access the first floor. It should be
noted in the event announcement that this is not a handicapped accessible
site.

I still plan to come to the event and teach class. I may just have to work
something else out to accommodate the stairs.

Sindara
