I went in my most severe business suit and told them I was a CPA
(I am, of course) and they *still* chose me. Then I tried just
barely meeting the dress requirements of the judge and told them
I was a software developer (I am) and they chose me again.
BTW, the county and municipal courts generally coordinate their
jury pulls so you can get out of a jury for one if you have been
on a jury for the other. The federal district court does not care
about the others. The Fort Worth federal district court puts on call
for a month. You may be called during that month every week, if they
desire. You may be on as many juries as possible without sitting
simultaneously on two. I was on three juries in one month and was
called to be in the pool every week. Other federal district courts
use different selection criteria.
