ES - What a glorious war!

Another short story.

As we dead watched the progress of the fort battle (Ansteorra defending) and
agonized over what was going on behind the walls, we noticed that they were
not getting through the front gate. They were pouring many fighters up the
ramps and through the windows, but they could not get through the gate!
Maybe things were OK after all.

And just then Virgil jumped out of the window on the far left of the fort
and began to chase Trimarians and kill them! A glorious display. We decided
if they were in good enough shape in the fort to send a fighter of his
caliber outside, then we must be doing well. He was killed (after all he was
outnumbered about 50 to 1), but what a noble fight.

Virgil later told me that no one ordered him out, he saw the opportunity,
was not tasked to any particular command in the fort, so he took it. Sir
Ditrich, I believe, gave him a chain in appreciation of the honor and
bravery displayed.

Caelin on Andrede
Vivat to Virgil and to all the Ansteorran fighters
