[Elfsea] A Can of Worms

Oh, Lord! I'm afraid I opened a can of worms that should not have been
opened and for that I apologize. This was one instance I should have kept my
big mouth shut.

I will not apologize, though, for my opinion or my feelings towards CPS.
There are few issues I back down on this issue is one of them.

Twice I have been investigated and twice I have been harrassed and made to
feel like the lowest living scum on this planet in my own home. Twice, I was
treated as guilty before found innocent and twice I was found innocent of
all charges.

I will admit that CPS does have it's place in society, but not when workers
develop what I call the "Mightier than God" Syndrome that many governmental
workers develop. These workers might be very nice and even human when they
aren't investigating a case, but when you are on the recieving end of the
investigation, they are totally different people. I understand that they
sometimes see things that make a grown man cry and they do rescue those that
aren't able to help themselves. But, it gives them no right to treat people
the way they do.

Now, there was talk about revenge against the neighbor. Please don't do
that! I've seen and been involved in neighborly feuds and they aren't
pretty. They only get worse as time progresses. If they are
threathening/harrassing you or making you feel unsafe in your own home, get
a peace bond or a restraining order. This way the Evil Neighbor has to leave
you alone or face the judge. No, the cops can't do anything because it's
considered a civil matter. But the neighbor won't want to face an agry judge
and explain why they are in contempt of court.
