Ok, now that I've answered all my e-mails that pertain to events this 
weekend. I can now put in my $.02...

Everyone is talking about getting recognized for a job well done. I have to 
say that a piece of paper, largesse or a title is not my reward. (Not that 
I'm not grateful for my title).

When I received my AoA, Their Excellancies said things about me no one has 
ever said about me before in my entire life. I've never been called a pillar 
of anything in my entire life, much less of the Barony! I was even compared 
to Lady Arabella, which I find to be an honor I truly admire her tireless 
energy and work to the Barony and she is my insparation. Needless to say I 
was floored and when their words finally hit me, I cried all the way home. 
In a grand scheme, I was thanked and that is more than enough of an award 
for me.

My reward comes when I give a hot, tired fighter some much needed water. 
Just the look of pure bliss on their face. Sometimes I'm not even thanked, 
but no matter.

My pleasure comes when I wipe away a child's tear after putting a Pooh Bear 
bandage on their boo-boo (Ok I think it's funny when I have to put a Barbie 
bandage on a big strapping 300 lb fighter because I have no non-character 
bandages ...I know it's somewhat sick...hehe).  This weekend I got a really 
big thank you complete with a hug and a kiss from an injured fighter.

I enjoy rolling up my sleeves and helping out. Service to others...that's my 
reward.
