Greetings to you as well Cait and the others who are new to our Barony,

This missive is not just directed to you but all the folks who are moving in from other places both in and outside of our kingdom.

Some others have answered the some of your questions, I'd like to continue with a few that were not.

The park..... Great for kids I feel very safe letting my 7-year-old play while I am visiting with my friends. I'm close enough that I don't feel the need to watch him. (A very big issue with me)

Loaner gear...I think it might be best to try and contact the marshal in charge of the area (rapier or chivalric)in which you wish to borrow gear. Just to make sure the gear will be there. Remember communication is the key.

You mentioned garb and Siobhan answered that on fighter practices.. I'd also like to ad that our Moot/populace meeting is also in garb.

That is the first time some of the new folks get to see a "Court" and some of what can happen in a court setting. It gives new officers an opportunity to speak in front of people in a not so formal setting.. ie the King is usually not in attendance, however that has happened in our recent past. It makes good practice for learning how not to take up tooo much time in court, (I had a problem with that in my beginning as a officer of the barony.) Especially when reporting after an event. And a really good opportunity to get to know others in the Barony.

I'm looking forward to seeing you at Moot.

HL Arabella (who is really a court junkie, That is what makes this game real for me, going to court)

>In a way, I guess you could say that I am new to the Barony. I just moved to Elfsea from Loch Ruadh. I just changed my addy with the Society, so it is official. Ragnar and I are Elfsea. We will be at our first Moot on the 25th.
>Is there going to be fighter practice today? Also, is it going to be at Randol Mill Park? I checked the Elfsea web site and I got two different answers. The calendar said Randol Mill Park. The link for fighter practice info said Veteran's Park. I take it the time is still 2 pm? We have never been and we wanted to go today. I want to start rapier fighting and Ragnar wants to check out the Heavy fighting. Is fighter practice in garb? Are kids welcome? Mine are at Grandma's this weekend, but I was just curious. Also, will there be loaner gear for rapier and/or heavy?

>Please let me know as soon as possible. I plan on leaving around one-ish if there is practice.
