Arabella,

Well, I'm glad someone addressed this issue! Might not be a bad idea to
send something generic on this subject to the list. Especially for
newcomers and those who have never been at an event for more than two days
in a row.

Here are my contributions:

- pack clothes in watertight tubs! (duffles don't like rain)

- best not to sleep on the floor of the tent in case of rain, try a cot or
an airmattress.

- keep spare dry clothes (mundanes AND garb!) in vehicle

- Take cloaks AND sunscreen!! Also, boots in case of rain or cold.

- Please, for the sake of others, bring multiple pairs of underwear, socks
and lots o'deodorant!!

- Shower shoes!! Icky poo, athletes foot! Need I say more? (flip flops
work well!)

- Not that it's a huge problem, but make your tent theft-deterrent. Keep it
closed at all times.

- No open flames in tents! No lanterns or heaters that give off fumes in
tents either!! (there have been injuries and FATALITIES at SCA camping
events in the past due to these things!!)

- Don't forget the Benadryl tablets (and creams) in case of allergies,
poison ivy, bee stings, etc.

There is more, but I leave it to others to contribute!

See y'all there!
