[Elfsea] SCAdian family living in Fort Worth for a while

Greetings Elfsea,
I wished to share this missive I sent to a few people
privately last week. Fair warning, it will make you
cry if you are a parent.

I've just spent 2 weeks supporting dear friends of
mine whose son was born with major birth defects.
Every moment they were able to spend with him was
precious. Every moment I spent with him was precious.
I've never been so mesmerized by the sight of an
infant breathing.

Samuel passed from this world to the next the morning
of January 17th. He was an angel in waiting, a
guardian angel getting to know those he would protect.
Keep him and his family in your prayers.

Kiss your children. Kiss someone else's children.
Rejoice in the time you have with them, and cherish
every moment. I know I will.
