I am a firm believer in communication and setting things out on the table.
I believe in positive discussions.  I believe the populace should be able to
voice their personal opinions without fear of hurting any person's feelings.

I also feel it is important to avail myself of the best tools to get
information to the most people possible. In that vein this medium is the
best tool.

The subject I will be speaking about is touchy, and to some people very
personal. What I am suggesting is in no way a slight towards any single
person.  These are my feelings and opinions.

I volunteered to be the Springfaire Steward.  I volunteered to try to save
this event.  I have a co-steward whom I have worked with in the past and
been very successful working with him.  Thank you Master Richard.  I am
equally pleased to have another co-steward who is willing to learn the ropes
and become an effective event steward.  Thank you Centurion Virgil, your
willingness to continue shows great strength.

I know that Springfaire is very special to many people in different ways.  I
got my very first award, my AoA, at a Springfaire.  I'd like to see the
tradition continue for many years.

I also believe that the "lack of enthusiasm" in volunteering to work at this
event is the populace speaking VERY LOUDLY about how they/you feel about
this event.  I feel that the lack of enthusiasm is   a sign that this event
should be cancelled.  I feel that it is in no way dishonorable to cancel
this event.

I'd like to open a positive discussion, positive is the key word here, about
why or why not cancel this event.

The site we have chosen should NOT be a part of this discussion. I am not
overly fond of Tanglewood myself, but it has the least possible financial
impact on the barony.   I can live with Tanglewood for one more event if
it's in the best financial interest for the Barony.

I also understand others opinions who have communicated with me privately
about why they will not be attending because of the site. I respect your
opinions and I will miss you.

What reasons should we cancel this event?  What are our goals if we continue
at this time. I want to hear from others.

So .......... what say you?
