we will be going through a period manual that was written as an
instructional book for students. it begins with a discusion of the basic
wards and foot work and continues on int weapon styles from there. It would
likley be a wonderfull point to start for some one just starting out.
Certainly all skill levels are welcom to join us.

Here in Ansteorra we generally start out on epee as well I sugest Schlager
or better for the period styles simply because an epee is to light to make
much of it effective. although a person could certainly practice the styles
with any blade.

I have heard of Markland and even met a few poeple who played with them at
Gulf wars some years back (just don't ask me their names) They currently
have littel to no pressence in the south central plains but that may well
change with time.

Are you going to be at practice this afternoon?

Darius
