With regards to BIG Blue and pavilions in general, I believe it is
important to identify what we are looking for overall in a pavilion.
Cost is always an issue, and I do not have a cost analysis. This is more
a listing of what we should look for in a pavilion for the Barony and
compare that with what we have and what we may need.

What we should look for in general for any pavilion and then more
specifically by type of pavilion: 1) Landed or Royal Pavilion 2)
Baronial list field pavilion 3) other pavilions

Any pavilions definition includes the following: the roof, walls and all
necessary equipment to allow the pavilion to stand by itself.

Any pavilion used by the barony:

1. Pavilion should have some sort of warranty
2. When repairs are needed we should be able to have the company that we
bought the pavilion from repair it or a local company make the repairs
whenever possible.
3. Pavilion should have a medieval appearance when ever possible.
4. Pavilions should be easily transportable( if you need a trailer or
two vehicles to transport the pavilion and all necessary equipment this
increases costs for the barony)
5. Pavilions should be fairly easy to setup ( 3 to 4 people and should
not require a rocket scientist or s subject matter expert to figure it
out)
6. Pavilions should be at least water resistant but preferably water
proof.
7. When making a decision on a pavilion will this pavilion last 10 years
or more? Will the company that made it still be around? Is this pavilion
easily repairable by another pavilion company other than the maker?
8. How will the pavilion change when it has been in the rain and mud for
3 days. Will it still be easy to tear down, pack up and easy to clean?

Elfsea Landed or Royal pavilion ( there are additions to the any
pavilion list above)

1. Must have a medieval appearance
2. Should be visually striking ( people should say Elfsea has a really
cool baronial pavilion)
3. Easily identifiable as the baronial pavilion
4. Large enough for landeds, royals, champions, heralds and support
staff for court with room left over for other stuff.
5. The baron and baroness should be able to transport this pavilion and
necessary equipment in one truck or one vehicle.

Baronial List field Pavilion ( these are additions to the any pavilion
list above)
1. Should have medieval appearance
2. Size is dependent upon the purpose of the pavilion.

Other pavilions ( this excludes those pop up or other pavilions that are
available at Walmart for under $200.00
1. Appearance is dependent on the use, but it should always look clean
and kept up
2. Size is dependent upon the purpose of the pavilion.

This is not an all inclusive list. Please feel free to add to this list,
but I think these points should be applied to our current pavilions and
any future pavilions we might purchase.
