I wanted to take a moment to let you all know how much I appreciate
everything you all did to make today's event not only possible but a
complete success.

I wanted to thank Master Sebastian, Harries, Baron Elfsea, Master Caelin,
and her Excellency KerMegan for showing up at the early hour of 6 a.m. None
of us wanted to be awake at that hour. Not to be funny, but I did hear a
rooster cock-a-doodle-doo. These members of our populace went above and
beyond helping setup the fighting fields so our fighters would be
comfortable during the heat of the day.

I also wanted to thank Mistress Ami for providing the site tokens,
teaching, and just being all around supportive.

The food was excellent. I'm not just saying that because my lovely wife
made it. Everyone loved her food. It was delicious; it was hot; it was
fresh; it was on time. Everyone had nothing but great things to say about
it. I'm glad it went so well. Her lovely staff, Joe Pelfrey
<https://www.facebook.com/joe.pelfrey.3> and his wife Sharon Pelfrey, his
son Jarred Pelfrey, Debra Carrejo, her son Gabe Carrejo, Harries, Arthur
Marsh <https://www.facebook.com/arthur.marsh.5>, (I'm sure I'm forgetting
someone)... All these people helped cut veggies, dice meat, wash dishes,
cook things, do stuff... I'm not a kitchen person so I'll just let that
mystery be magical. I appreciate all the hard work they put in.

Dona Ingrid was great. She organized the Rapier classes and made sure the
fighters had water. She helped out through out the day keeping spirits up
with music and smiles. In addition helped organize the rapier community to
help tear down the fighting area and help pack it up when classes were over.

Centurion Eber, who was unable to attend, did a great job organizing. He
had helped arrange before hand waterbearers, teachers, and helped spread
the word for the students.

A special thanks to Angus and Mayve aka mdbd. The murder mystery was
awesome. Those that participated really enjoyed it and everyone enjoyed
Forest Evergreen, I mean Detective Richard Lacey. More over they, along
with Sarah Finn, helped a new autocrat focused and happy. They're
encouragement helped a great deal.

There's so many others that deserve our thanks, the teachers, gate
volunteers, students. Like I said before, people were thanking me for a
great event and I really didn't do anything. All of these people did and
many others. I feel privileged to know them, to have had them volunteer to
work with me, and call them friends. They are the SCA. The next time you
see them stop and thank them for their efforts. They make this game fun and
enjoying.
