Greetings unto the list from Lord Stephen:
The Charter Painting guild meeting scheduled for this Thursday has been
postponed one week, to May 4th. Please note this in your calendars. The
postponement has been made to allow all to make final preparations for the
Assembly of the Contrades this weekend.
Now, that this announcement is made ...
Hey everybody from Steve Hall, the mundane incarnation of Lord Stephen:
Since there's nothing going on this Thursday now, I'd like to invite everyone
to a very unofficial Send-Off Party for my old apartment. Things will be
kicking off at 7:30 pm and will last until 11:00, when I tell everyone to go
home and let me get some sleep. Planned activites include:
* Standing around the old apartment, since most of the furniture's already
moved
* Touring the new apartment, where most of the furniture already is
* Watching Beoan and myself wrestle with the Plaid Couch of Doom
* Helping Beoan and myself wrestle with the Plaid Couch of Doom
* Watching and helping, as above, with the Black Futon of Severe Inconvenience
* Meeting Morgan the Cat, the newest addition to the Hall/Macthomas Menagerie
* Visiting with friends and family and making last minute plans to the
Contrade
* Eating food you wish to bring
* Drinking soft drinks and such that I'll provide
This is also a chance to peruse all the, er, stuff that I've accumulated over
four years of living in Texas, and no longer have room for or desire to store
any longer. These items include, but are not limited to:
* Cassette tapes and CDs
* Books of all subjects
* SCA accessories, including games, craft materials, fabric, etc.
* One tent, a veteran of Gulf Wars VIII and nothing else (read: only used
once)
* Kitchen supplies
* OLD software on various subjects
* Mundane clothes
* A Sony stereo system with 5-disc CD changer and remote-ish accessory
* Plus Many More!
Some of these items, such as the stereo, will be regarded as *offer me a
price* - the rest are free to good homes that will promise to put said items
to good use.
Outside of helping with the couch and futon, I promise not to put anyone to
work that doesn't first volunteer. We'll figure out dinner for those that
volunteer their services to helping li'l ol' me move what little is left.
That's this Thursday, from 7:30 to 11:00 pm at my old home, 19700 Hickory
Twig Way #55, and my new home, 19700 Hickory Twig Way #905. The directions
are the same, be sure to dial in to 055 to get through the gate. Directions
to the new apartment will be available once through the door of the old place.
NOTE: Because of the nature of this event, those with allergies are strongly
recommended to either medicate themselves against dust before arriving or
respectfully not show up. There is no dust in the new place yet, however,
and if you wish to attend, I can have a movie playing there.
NOTE to Constance: First come, first served. If you want prizes, get there
early. <grin>
Hope to see many of you there!
In service to Gate's Edge and her populace,
Lord Stephen
In service to the packrat and yard sale nut in all of us,
Steve
