GE - Virus Warning

The email usually says it is from hahaha at sexyfun.com
The attachment is dwarf4you.exe contains the virus.
As long as you delete it without opening the attachment
it will go away.

Norton's website says this virus has been in
circulation since Sept 2000.  When ran this worm
infects the winsoc and dos.exe files.  It will
produce a spiral pattern on the screen.
The virus is difficult to remove and usually the
hard drive has to be formated with everything
reinstalled from scratch.  The only good news
is that it doesn't destroy data files.

When an infected computer sends out an email
the virus will follow up that email with one
of its Snowwhite emails containing the virus.

The same idiot majordomo program that stops you from
sending out lots of virus warnings because they
might be spam will gleefully forward this virus
without filtering it.

Egroups lists which hosts a lot of local SCA groups
has this virus circulating all over it.  One can only
hope they will add a filter like Hotmail has.
I am tracking down this Snowwhite virus through
some of the family history lists at Egroups
that have infected computers subscribed.
