According to the wonderful folks at the Academy of St. Gabriel, AY-v at -loon.
And no comments about the 'loon' part! Though come to think of it, it fits
these days...it fits...

Whenever I read something on the Rialto or some other SCA mailing list that
makes me cringe, I have to ask myself, "Have you ever had anything like that
happen to you among the Gate's Edge folks?" And the answer is no, and I can
relax. I think everybody can be very proud of the atmosphere that has been
created here. It's a nice place to 'play'.

Very true. I have to say that it's the Internet that has caused me to rejoin
SCA. Email facilitates contact, and the Web is chock full o' resources that
weren't there years back. And there are more places to purchase garb, for us
sewing-impaired types ;)

I'm grateful that, as soon as I walked into my first populace meeting in
ages, you immediately recognized me and asked "Where have you been?" That
made me feel a lot better, as if I'd never left. All those new faces were
friendly too, and I was swamped with invitations to attend this and that
practice or meeting. HL Signy, HL Annes, the inestimable Lord Talmon, Lord
Ihon, Lady Ekaterina and Lord Iaen also shocked me by recalling me from
before. I thank you all for the welcome (although I've no doubt mis-titled
and misspelled some of you and for that I apologize!)

Hey, it's all protein, right? ;) Seriously, I should have stayed away from
the kitchen but I felt I ought to say hi! I will bring her (Happy Cakes) out
to other events as soon as it cools down a bit.
>Anyway, welcome back.
It's good to *be* back. I've wanted to be part of SCA since I was in high
school and saw a cover article about it in (I think) 'Parade' magazine. I
knew it was the place for me.
