[Gatesedge] Guardian of the Gate

Dear Friends,

I must regretfully inform you that I will not be attending Guardian of
theGauntlet.  My wonderful Viking is docking his longship in my harbor that
weekend after a long absence.  (Double innuendo most certainly intended)
While some of you will ask, why not both of us come over to Colmsniel for
the event, alas, again I must regretfully state that the purpose of his
visit is to get some supplies for a construction job he has planned in
Bjornsborg which he has been unable to find there and also to finish some
pressing construction work on my house.  Since I see him so seldom as he is
forever on the high seas plundering helpless English monastaries, I can not
miss the opportunity to greet him and to be with him.  I'm sure that my
presence will be hardly missed with so many of our excellent canton
attending.  I sincerely hope that no one thinks badly of me for this but I
see no real alternative.  A lady must attend to her lord and that is her
primary duty.
