I would like to put on a short Mummer's Play at Gate's Edge's Pestilence
Ball. I've gotten Lady Damask's go-ahead. Mummer's Play--what's that--as in
mummys running around on stage? No, but it is a zany, vaudeville-like short
play that was common at least during the Elizabethan times and possibly
before. It needs no background, no elaborate costumes, just a few props. The
lines are short and in verse (easy to remember).

I NEED 9 MEN AND 1 YOUTH (ABOUT AGED 10-12). Sorry ladies, women weren't
allowed to be in plays then.

Characters # of times speaking props needed
Father Christmas 6 head wreath of holly (I have one) and some
gold coins (I have some)

Doctor Foster 6 a black bag or some kind of satchel and
some sweet tarts to use as "pills"

Boneyparte 2 a fighter (bad guy)--needs sword, shield stuff

Bold Slasher 5 a fighter (bad guy)--needs sword, shield stuff

Old Mother Roundabout 2 a robe and a shawl?

King George 5 a fighter (good guy)--needs sword, shield
stuff plus a crown (I've got one)

Jack Finney 4 a fighter (good guy)--needs shield stuff, no
										sword

Robin Hood 1 a fighter (good guy)--needs sword, shield
										stuff, maybe wearing something green?

Longlegs 4 peasant man--peasant hat?

Little Funny 'Un 3 the youth part. needs a length of dark string
										like yarn.

Any one game? Ah, come on! It's what you've been waiting for! Time to shine
and show your talent! Email me at paperdol at wt.net or call me at
