For those who were not at war...

At Gulf War this past week Gates Edge was proudly represented. I know I
will leave out much so I will ask that the others in attendance fill in my
gaps.

Although we were spread across the camp finding a home for the week where
our interests called us, there was approximately a total of 26 Gates Edge
folks at the war with 11 people in the Gates Edge encampment proper.

As always Gates Edge defined service for the rest of the participants of the
war serving many hours at many different endeavors. Among other endeavors
our people provided help with Security, Field Marshaling, Inspection
Marshalling, Range Marshalling, volunteer point, troll, and chiurgeoning.
We provided shelter from the rains, food for the hungry, and lights in the
privies.

The Equestrians of Gates Edge once again showed that they are among the best
in the known world and have the best animals in the known world.

The Archers of Gates Edge showed the might of Ansteorra both on the
Battlefield and at the Target Range.

Our Rapier community used their sharp blades to help defeat our foes.
Worthy of note is that Lord Carluccio di Bia was one of the last 10
remaining fighters (out of 72 total) in the Tournament sponsored by the
Order of the Rose and later that day at the Ravine Battle was awarded the
honor of the Queens Rapier of Ansteorra (that will be the spiffy red and
white braid that he will be wearing on his belt). Lord Carluccio also now
serves as the Rapier Champion for Her Excellency Sir Erika.

Vivat Gates Edge!

Lord Eadric Anstapa
Kingdom Archery Marshal, Ansteorra
