GlacierOctober Populace Meeting                                   October 4,
2004


General Welcome



Word Fame:

            Kaitlyn – Congratulations for being nominated for the Blackfox
award. This is a society wide competition where the Kingdom Chronicler
nominates the local Chroniclers for their excellence in producing their
local newsletters.

            Carluccio – Is the newly appointed Coastal Regional Archery
Marshal.

            Morgan O’Brian – for her successful knocking of heads at Golden
Arrow resulting in success at the children’s equestrian activities.



Cour D’ Amour:

            Thought there seem to be details that are still being worked
out, there is still much anticipation on the upcoming event this weekend.
Gate, setup, and assistance for feast prep this week would be greatly
appreciated. Annes has the signs in her shed and will make them available.
There are still questions as to if they can access the site prior to Friday,
and we don’t yet know if the portable sink will be available. Schedule is
not yet set, though they expect all activities to begin following morning
court and to end around 3pm. Serrin will post directions to Vaclav’s for
those who can meet on wed and thurs. for feast prep. Tables will be brought
to site at 1pm, Gate opens at 6pm on Friday and 7am on Saturday. Archery
will include a roving 3d shoot and other surprises for the day.



Coronation Gifts:

            It has been noted that in the past GatesEdge has put together a
gift for the incoming royals, and we would like to do so again. It was
suggested that any ideas for gifts/largess be sent to the list, or to Aylwin
so that a list can be compiled and posted in time for the next populace
meeting, so that it may be voted on at that time.



Equestrian:

            Guienevere has officially steeped down from the marshal
position. It was asked if anyone is still interested in continuing the
Equestrian position at this time.  There was little response to the
positive. The position will not be reopened for applications at this time.
Should there be further interest please contact Aylwin.



A&S:

            Cecelie has a new email address! Cecelie at earthlink.net. Please
email her any reports so that they may be included in her report. She is
also looking at starting classes after populace. Please send her ideas on
what you would like to see so that she can arrange for the subject matter
you want.



Chronicler:

            Newsletters went out on time, and the deadline for adding
anything into the newsletter is by officers for the following month. Please
submit any and all articles to her by this time. She will be more than happy
to assist you in getting things print ready.



Hospitaler:

            There will be an upcoming post stating when the next Newcomers
meeting will be. She did receive quite a bit of the hospitaler gear tonight.



Reeve:

            They are doing further research on trailer possibilities. There
is an issue sine the majority of the trailers available have metal sides vs.
the plywood sides we were looking at originally. We are not changing the
possibility of getting the trailer, but we may want to visit the options as
to how we want to handle shelves etc. We also may look into the used U-Hauls
available.



Historian:

            Nothing to report at this time.



Scribe:

            The second part of the Calligraphy classes taught by Baroness
Hillary may continue on the second Tuesday of the month, or the 4th
depending on her schedule. He will everyone know once this is solidified. He
has also traveled to Greywood with the scribal arts and will do so again at
the Battle of the Pines. Additionally, there are charters that can not be
passed on to the crown that can be used for practice. Aylwin will get these
to him when possible.
