Archery Field Report:

The weekend was cloudy but hot. The attempt was made to go all day long, but the sun and the humidity would not allow it. I would like to thank James and Jennifer Friend along with Andrew and Rachel Scott for coming out Saturday and helping with the field. In the roughly 4 hours we were there, we battled long thorny vines that grew from the ground to the tops of trees. We cleared what will be a shaded seating area for archers and spectators, and cleared several large trees that were in the way of the 40 yard target lane. There now sits a huge pile of limbs in the center of the field. The next step is to find a wood chipper to grind that all down so that it can be the bed for out seating area. Beyond that, there is still more to clear and the ground to level. So if anyone knows anyone with a tractor they would be willing to donate to the cause the assistance would be greatly appreciated. We are looking at three to four more working days before the site is
 ready to host practice. Another year and the landscaping will be picturesque.
