GL - The Event

Sorry all, I had wanted to reply to some messages
last night, but my modem hates a bad phone connection.
Anyway...

Our event, "Battle of the Flame"? (I'm just throwing
it out there. Please don't get mad at me :)) will begin
around 8am with me getting there a little before hand. I'll
start setting up and directing any others who arrive early.
I think the list fields should be first so fighters can
warm up (especially the light fighters. They'll want to see
what we've gotten them into. If Lord David has the chance,
I need dimensions on the concentric circles for the rapier
field).
I think we can do with five tables. We'll probably need
two for the tavern (unless Magdalena and Sebastian have
that covered), one for troll, one for list mistress, and
one for water bearers. I'll try to contact their excellencies
and see if we may borrow some tables and the list field
boundaries from them. And to the best of my knowledge,
they will be there at the event. I extended an invitation
to them at war, as well as their excellencies Elfsea.
If we can set up a time on the weekend to make tokens,
I'm sure we can get more people to help make them.
With total expenses of the Canton standing at app. $120
so far, I think $3 per adult and children for free should
cover us.
Please remember that the site is wet with period containers
only. Although this is a day event, I know some will want
a drink after fighting and while at court.
Speaking of court, a few of us have discussed it and feel
it only appropriate that Steppes should hold their court
under the Steppes oak tree. If it is still early when the
fighting ends, I feel we should postpone court until sixish,
If fighting ends around four-thirty I don't think it would
hurt to have it then.
I will be purchasing some outdoor children's toys like
horseshoes and what ever else Wally World has to offer to
keep children entertained. We will however need someone
to keep an eye on the children and keep them from playing
in the creek nearby. It seemed to move rapidly and is not
a place for small children to wander off to.
Anyway, I think that's enough for now. Please contact me

the official format to put out on the list as I write.
