Displaying Artisans - please spend time talking to everyone at the event and
not just the judges. This is your opportunity to really share what you know
and express how excited you are about your arts.

Everyone Else - take some time to look over all the displays and see what it
out there. Ask questions and show your friends what cool things you find.
Don't be afraid to be a part of the event.

Very good advice, Master Phillip, with one caveat. Those of us who have to
judge ALL of the artisans competing would appreciate everyone's patience and
consideration in letting us get a very difficult and time-consuming task done in
a timely manner. If one of us comes up to an artist's exhibit and asks if we
might interrupt, please forgive us for the interruption, and let us have the
privacy to talk about their arts with the artist.

Another piece of advice for artists competing...be very conscious of food
safety if part of your display is cooking. Put out foods in small amounts while
keeping the rest at a safe temperature (below 40 degrees or above 145 degrees
Farhenheit). Judges: find those artists competing with foods and judge the
cooking entries early! Remember that food safety is an important aspect for
everyone!

[Sorry, my lastest soapbox!]
